From Your Cart to the Soil: How We Track Every Plant
At OrganoLinen, we take pride in every detail - from your custom fit to the stitching on your collar. So it only makes sense that when we say we’re planting a plant for every order, we’re just as meticulous about how it actually happens.
Our Linen to Leaves initiative is about more than good intentions. It’s built on accountability, transparency, and care - both for your clothing and for the Earth.
Here’s how your order goes from cart → to custom clothing → to a real, living plant in the soil.
Step 1: You Place Your Order
When you shop with us, you’re not buying from inventory.
Each piece is made to order, tailored to your measurements using our AI-based sizing tool and cut from premium 100% linen fabric.
The moment your order is confirmed, it’s not just sent to our tailoring team - it’s also added to our planting log.
Step 2: We Log Your Planting Contribution
Your order is added to our internal tracking sheet, alongside others placed that week or month.
We don’t plant in isolation - instead, we schedule batch planting days in partnership with The Plantation Club, who manage our planting zones in India using the Miyawaki afforestation method.
Each batch includes:
-
The number of plants to be planted
-
The plant types (currently tea and coffee, with more to come)
-
The planting zone location and soil conditions
-
Date of planting and initial care notes
Step 3: The Planting Begins
When the batch is ready, the team at The Plantation Club prepares the soil, selects native species best suited to the season, and plants your contribution.
We plant native plants - not flax - to ensure long-term survival and ecosystem health.
Once planted, the saplings are monitored and watered through their early stages until they’re self-sustaining.
Step 4: We Document and Share Progress
This is where transparency comes in.
You won’t get a vague “planted on your behalf” badge or empty promise. Instead, we:
-
Capture photos and videos of planting days
-
Share regular updates via email and Instagram
-
Highlight the real work - mud, sweat, saplings, and all
-
Invite you to ask about your plant if you'd like to know what was grown for your specific order
If you reply to an order confirmation and say, “What did you plant for me?” - we’ll tell you. It's that personal.
Step 5: We Keep It Growing
Our planting partners don't disappear after digging the hole.
Each plant is cared for during its critical early stages and then integrated into dense, diverse planting clusters that create long-term forest cover and biodiversity.
We don’t outsource responsibility - we grow it.

Why This Matters
The world doesn’t need more vague pledges. It needs brands that show up, do the work, and share it honestly.
Every OrganoLinen piece you wear:
-
Is made just for you
-
Doesn’t contribute to waste
-
And now… helps grow something far beyond your closet
And you’ll never have to wonder if it was planted.
You’ll know.
