Climate Commitment

Linen is one of the lowest-impact fibers you can wear. Flax grows in cool, rainy climates with little irrigation and few pesticides, every part of the plant is used, and the finished fabric is biodegradable. That is where our sustainability story starts, and it is why every OrganoLinen piece is 100% linen.

Made to order, not made in bulk

We cut and sew each order after it is placed, in 6-9 business days. There is no warehouse of unsold stock to discount or discard, and we only buy the fabric we use.

Nothing goes to waste

Offcuts from our shirts, pants and suits become our upcycled linen bags, and smaller pieces go into packaging and samples.

Made to last

Linen gets softer and stronger with every wash. A well-made linen shirt or sheet is worn for years, not seasons, and we offer repairs and alterations so a piece stays in use instead of being replaced.

Shipping emissions

We used to fund carbon removal for our shipping emissions through Shopify's Planet program. That program has ended, so we no longer describe our shipping as carbon neutral. We keep shipments small, ship most orders in a single package, and are looking at new ways to offset what we ship. We will update this page when we have something concrete to report.
